The Productive Summer Blog are tips, ideas, and activities drawn from a few decades of teaching experience, raising two children, home schooling and transitioning in and out of virtual learning throughout the pandemic.

As many educators, we study and teach a structured curriculum. Sometimes we must alter our methods and adjust to the needs of each individual child. What we teach in a whole classroom setting does not always translate to all students.

My hope for this site is to include hands-on activities for the individual child to facilitate learning in a fun way. This site is geared towards preschool/early elementary learners. Bear with me as I continue to develop this site.
